What Scent Reminds You Of Your Mother?

We all know that scents can spark a memory. WIth that, a friend and member of our community asked a poignant question this morning which we thougth we'd highlight — "what scent reminds you of your Mother and what scent do you think you children will remember?"

They wrote, "I know the scent of nail polish remover always reminds me of my mom because when I was a kid my mom each night would lay out what she was going to wear the next day and that night she would paint her nails to match that outfit."

"We would talk and laugh while she was painting her nails and that's always been my fondest memory of my her.... just spending time together while she painted her nails."

What scent reminds you of your Mother?

Without a doubt my memories cascade back to the days I was a child and Mom always used Oil of Olay skin care products. She swares by 'em and at 88 today she still has that porceline look. I remember her scent every morning as she reached down and kissed me. Of course there was the Listerine mouth was too ... but I prefer the Oil of Olay Molly
