Divorced mother of three Delaine Moore is an author, journalist, NLP Practitioner, speaker, and Licensed Mars Venus Life Coach, who specializes in divorce, dating, relationships and gender differences.
Since divorcing in 2007, Delaine has used her voice to send a playfully empowering message to divorced women: "You might be divorced, but you aren’t DEAD." Her website, I Am Divorced Not Dead, has inspired thousands of divorced women to grab the next chapter of their lives by the horns and pursue passion on their own terms.
Today, having trained and partnered with Dr. John Gray, bestselling author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, Delaine’s mission is to help men and women ‘make love not war,’ whether they’re single, married or divorced. She says, “Time and time again, I hear women say, ‘Pfft. I don’t NEED a man’, as if it’s some kind of catch phrase. But what thatreally means is that deep down, there is healing to do.”
Delaine’s controversial memoir, The Secret Sex Life Of A Single Mom – which chronicles her wild, yet profound ‘body-driven’ awakenings in the first after her divorce, was recently purchased by the feminist publisher, Seal Press. She admits she is both nervous and excited to ‘bare’ herself in its Spring 2012 release: "In giving my Self permission to follow my body’s fire and wisdom, I inadvertently flipped my middle finger at society's RuleBook for women.”
The former COO and Executive Editor of Divorced Women Online, Delaine’s expert articles have appeared on First Wives World and The New York Time’s About.com. Her essay, “Less Than a Bump and a Grind,” won the Readers’ Choice Award in Novelette.com’s essay competition, and she recently appeared as a guest on Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Cosmo Radio (SIRIUS Satellite radio) talk show, “Get in Bed”.
