My career as an insurance professional began in June 1986 working in the back office operations and IT infrastructure of an insurance agency in Westchester County, New York. In 1990, I joined a National Insurance Brokerage company in New York City and was responsible for managing the NY operation. Most of my time was spent with clients, identifying their risks and exposures, explaining what insurance protection they would need to protect them from potential losses and helping them understand insurance contract.
In 2004, I started Ventura Insurance Brokerage and bought the existing NY operation that I had been managing for 15 years. Since that time, we have become a certified women business enterprise. Our dedicated team, primarily made up of strong, smart, hard-working woman, are committed to serving their clients and spending the extra time to educating their clients on the importance of a comprehensive insurance plan.
I earned by Bachelor of Science at Mercy College. I hold an insurance license in all 50 states and I completed by Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriters designation in 1995. I am a member of the Women Presidents Organization, The New York Women in Film and Television, Women in Theater League, International Association of Women in Aviation, National Association of Insurance Women and a Member of the Women Business Enterprise National Counsel.
