Texas Woman Finally Divorces Man Who Wanted Her Dead

What’s it take to get rid of a wife in Collin County, Texas these days?  Albert Jackson Sterling II thought $20,000 and a hit man should do the trick. Fortunately for Roxane Johnson (previously Johnson-Sterling), her husband’s hired gun balked at offing her and — oh yeah — her unborn child.

Once the hit man backed out, things got weird-er. Taking the concept of stand by, beside, beneath, and beyond your man to new and puzzling heights, Roxane Johnson stayed put even as new twists, turns, and sordid details emerged:

• She stayed put after being told (in person) by the hitman that he was hired by her husband to kill her and the unborn child, cut them up, and dump their bodies in South and East Dallas (November 21, 2006).

• She stayed by her husband’s side when it was revealed that he had been seriously involved with a younger hot tamale salsa instructor for over a year. And according to said tamale, they discussed kids and marriage together without Albert ever mentioning the ones he already had in place.

• And finally, when Albert was on trial for solicitation to commit murder, his intended victim stood by her man again, testifying on his behalf.  She said she still considered him to be an "honest and trustworthy man."

WHAAAAT?! Honest? No. Trustworthy? Are you kidding?! Man? Hardly!!

Luckily, the jury in Sterling’s case was not swayed by Johnson’s Stepford Wife impersonation, and sentenced him to 30 years in the slammer.  And with his sentence came the death knell for the marriage.

The divorce was finalized on January 23 — more than two years after the whole conspiracy-to-kill issue first came to light.

It’s hard to know if the final straw was the long sentence or the jail thingy, but Roxane Johnson is now a single woman, with sole custody of her two boys, trying to “make the best out of a bad situation.” And we thought the situation was bad back in '06.

Good for her!!! Pretending to be happy is a joke! more over as pretending your husband is not locked away for 30 yrs!! Hopefully, she will find a wealthy man to help her take care of those kids.
