Peaches Geldof: Marriage is Over
Back in October, we covered an interesting New Zealand Herald article in which New York music-scene celebuante Peaches Geldof acknowledged that her quickie marriage wasn't part of her long-term plan. In fact, she told the newspaper that she knew it wouldn't last forever.
Just a few weeks later, a British tabloid reported that the two had split, yet Geldof and her new husband, musician Max Drummey, remained together.
Six months into the marriage, the two have now publicly parted ways, says The Times Online. According to the article, both parties have made statements that they will remain amicable and care for each other deeply.
Honestly, it must be tough to perpetually be the focus of speculation, tabloid fodder, and judgment. Perhaps that's why Geldof spoke publicly about the brevity of her marriage and the impending break up — to beat the press to the punch. If so, smart girl, don't you think?
