Man Tricks Wife Into Divorce
Man Tricks Wife Into Divorce
Just last week, we scolded the actions of a Korean woman who went behind her husband’s back to obtain a divorce. This week, a British man has quite possibly sunk lower.
As reported in news site GetSurrey.com, Graeme Shore allegedly ended his decade-long marriage to Nongyao Yaiprab by pure trickery. Shore sent Yaiprab on a vacation, telling her she looked tired, worn out. Upon her return, she could not contact her husband. Her in-laws told her she could see him again if she signed a document — an English-language document. A Thai native and unable to read or speak English, Yaiprab could not determine that the document she signed were divorce papers. (Tricky in-laws!) Yaiprab signed, and the divorce was finalized.
Oddly enough, the article was not about Shore’s devious ways, but instead focused on the harassment charges against Yaiprab, who sent angry mail and packages once Shore cut her out of his life. (There was hate mail. There were angry letters. There were chicken bones. Thai custom, perhaps?)
The court issued a two-year restraining order prohibiting Yaiprab from contacting Shore.
