Kate Walsh's 15-Month Private Practice to End in Divorce
The diagnosis for the marriage between Private Practice star Kate Walsh and 20th Century Fox executive Alex M. Young is terminal. Young filed for divorce in Los Angeles citing the usual "irreconcilable differences" in ending their 15-month marriage.
The pair married in September 2007 and the documents say they separated on November 22nd. Just imagine what their Thanksgiving must have been like. Or maybe she's thankful not to be married any more.
Luckily she has a career that is thriving and friends who are supportive.
The 41-year-old actress was so captivating in Grey's Anatomy, playing the ex-wife of Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey, that ABC created a spinoff for her character.
How she will now spinoff is unclear, but we are optimistic about her resilience.
At least she won't have to pay manimony like other stars such as Anne Heche and Madonna. Young is very well-heeled, and now Walsh can keep her stilettos, along with everything else she has earned.
