Are Voo Doo Dolls the perfect post Divorce gift? How about a $330 Divorced Ring? A garter with the words "Bad Girl" on it? Flavored condoms? How about an exorcism while you're at it?

It appears that people are growing more comfortable with the notion of divorce, which is a milestone considering the stigma that has always been attached to it. But why has it always been such a hush-hush topic? I mean it happens, right? Divorce happens, like so many other things in life. I've known tons of people that have been in plenty of relationships that didn't work out, as well as some marriages, but they're not ashamed of being divorced.

If things are not working for the both of you, then embrace it. Don't be ashamed of it. Think renaissance! Think reinvention! Think (perhaps) you're one step closer to discovering who you are, to discovering where you want to go in life, and, yes, perhaps one step closer to finding the man you can spend the rest of your life with. Anyway, my two cents ...

A man from New Hampshire has been indicted for attempting to delay his divorce proceedings by doctoring the death certificate of a woman who was the mother of his child.

He can proudly take credit for providing new meaning to the phrase "dead" beat.

He's due in Sullivan County court in May.

Former New York City Mayor and rumored Presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani has some campaiginging to do at home first. It seems his son Andrew blames his current estrangement from his Father on his stepmother, the former Judith Nathan. Haven't we all seen this before?

Fresh from the divorce court and back onto the tennis court, Justine Henin won the Qatar Open with a 6-4, 6-2 win, beating out Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Having had to pull out of the Australian Open this year for "personal reasons," the Belgian newspaper, Le Soir, reported that she has been preoccupied with the process of divorcing her husband of four years, Peirre-Yves Hardenne.

''I never lost my tennis,'' she said. ''All I needed was to get my confidence back and I am proud of the way I did that. I needed to move forward and know who I am.''

Divorce doesn't have to be a nasty process afterall, even for celebs. Rock star Dave Navarro and actress Carmen Electra's divorce was finalized yesterday (February 20, 2007), and it was reported to be an amicably successful separation. All of their possessions were divided as stipulated in the prenup, and the two went their separate ways.

Rod Stewart's Divorce takes place three years after separation from Rachel Hunter. Why the wait? According to a recent article in London's Daily Mail there seems to be a whole lot of reasons to wait.

Are the days of a nasty split over?

Are they? I know a divorced couple that lives in New York. He happens to be gay, she's straight; they have "his and her" apartments.; she has her boyfriends, and he has his; they have a son together, and they all have a better relationship now then they ever had. Their honest, smart, fun, and love to all travel together. Are the days of the nasty divorce over? Hopefully. But if your husband ended up leaving you for another man, would you embrace it as well as my anomynous friend has? Newsweek has more to say

Gary and Lorna Wendt had a messy divorce. He was a top executive at GE, and yes, there was another woman involved. But that wasn’t the issue. The issue was a fair division in the settlement she sought from her husband of 32 years. Lorna insisted on half of her husband’s assets, which were estimated to be more than $100 million.

When they started out, they started out with nothing, but she was an equal partner. At the end of the marriage, 32 years later, she remained an "equal partner," yet in addition to 99% of the domestic workload she had continued to be her husband’s biggest supporter, was married to the company, but had no benefits.

After a tedious fight, she triumphed and forever changed the longstanding balance of the true value of a woman's contribution to a marriage and partnership.
