Bobby Brown's attempts to overturn the current terms of his divorce were denied on Friday. Apparently his motion was denied because he didn't bother to call or show up to court for a scheduled hearing, and there aren't any more court dates pending, at least not at present.
Obviously he's really wanting to change things if he can't even bother to call it in.
In April, Whitney Houston was awarded a default judgement, leaving Brown with no spousal support and visitation rights to their daughter. The next month Brown sued for shared custody and spousal support, claiming he was tricked into not responding in time to Houston's filing.
Really, if he's got any kind of legal counsel, they should have been able to take care of that with no problem. Maybe if he's so forgetful, he shouldn't be sharing custody of his daughter just yet.
Also in the news of custody and Britney Spears, after her debacle over the weekend, her visitation has been suspended completely until January 14, when there will be another hearing to determine if the suspension should continue or if she should regain some measure of visiting rights.
Let's ask ourselves, honestly, if this is at all surprising. Here's hoping the suspension stays until Miss Spears can get some help, and not just people willing to accommodate her every whim.
