Could Jon and Kate Plus 8 = Divorce?

Kate Gosselin, 1/10th of the family featured in the hit reality show “Jon And Kate Plus 8”, has spent the last three weeks doing a two-step around reporters’ questions. That’s because her husband, Jon Gosselin, was recently spotted in a compromising situation with a 23-year old teacher, and the media has been desperate to find out how it all adds up.

Now it appears Kate is ready to admit that the couple’s days might be numbered.

"I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she told People Magazine, in a cover story that hits newsstands today.

In fact, it seems that Kate and her spouse have been privately struggling for months.

"I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights,” Kate says.

If she and husband Jon do indeed divorce, there’s a lot more at stake than your “average” parents of eight children might have to factor in. A divorce might mean the end of their TLC show, for which Usmagazine reports they make $75,000 an episode. And then there are the financial perks of being reality TV royalty: enough so far that Kate received a free tummy tuck and Jon got a free hair transplant (all the better to woo willing teachers with, my dear).

Kate does have hope that her marriage can be saved, however.

"I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she says.

I've seen the show many times before, my mom always asks me, "Why are you watching this?" or "How can they handle those kids all at once?" I thought about it before. Both Jon and Kate work together, putting aside their differences, just for the kids' sake. I saw them together at the beginning. How Kate went through her pregnancy with the sextuplets and when Jon was out of a job. He didn't think of divorcing her at those hard times, maybe he did or maybe it crossed his mind once or twice. But no, he stayed til they were born and followed Kate through these times. During those times they had to work harder then any other parent. Kate gave up her job as a nurse, and Jon worked for the kids. And plus their show on TLC made their life seem great. But who are we to bother them about their private life. Yes they did violate some of their privacy by having a show. But ALL for the sake of their children. If any of you have seen their show like I have, you've seen that Kate has said a few things here and there and Jon too, maybe it made them think about their life more than the children. Have you ever thought of the stress these two individuals went through from the very beginning? I always thought, "It's amazing how they handle these kids with equal love and are still together!" These two clearly love their children VERY VERY much. You can tell from their show, they always comment on their kid's problems, but with love behind it. If these two don't love each other any more or need time alone...Please let them. They deserve it. And whatever they decide will affect the children's lives for sure, but knowing them maybe they'll figure out a way to help ease their pain. They're parents just trying to help their kids...

Jon and Kate need to learn to forgive each other for acting inapporiate in their marriage. This is not a normal situation and I truly believe know one wants to marry either of them in the long run. The reason they both were able to cheat is because the other was home with the children. What outsider is going to stay home with 8 children that are not their own?
