What interests me is the immediate placing of blame on one victim of this con man, Sandra Boss. It's her fault she didn't catch a psychopath who was as slippery as an eel? What kind of mother is she? Uh, last time I checked no one had anything negative to say about her based on fact. And as for the divorce system being unfair, "Women" in our case don't want it both ways. We want to see a child-centered divorce, with joint custody wherever possible. We want to see an end to factious divorces that involve children. The only reason poor "Clark Rockefeller" lost custody of his daughter was because a court-ordered evaluator examined him and Sandra Boss and told the court that by no means should their daughter be with him. Plus, he sold his custody rights for, what was it? $700,000. Something like that. He refused to tell anyone his real name. He took the money, and then stole the child. Now who would be the better custodian for a child. A Harvard educated working mother who makes more than $1 million a year. Or a pathological liar, sneak, cheater and psychopath. He's hiding behind the argument that he just wants what any father wants. This guy wants to change identities, slip between the cracks, marry one person to get a green card, and "marry" another to get taken care of. (He never did file the marriage license, so they weren't even legally married.) No wonder Sandra Boss wanted the "divorce" papers sealed. It appears they have little idea of what it's really like for women going through divorce. And in the future I'm sure there will be more divorce as nothing seems to please most stars. I feel sad as the most important part of life is our families and friends, they ignore their families and really don't have true friends. It's who can benefit from being around them and family; they are usually too busy to make time for them. I'll stay poor and happy.. My kids were grown and were for it. I had a good maiden name. Since he remarried as soon as the ink was dry, I didn't want anyone to confuse her with me. It's been almost two years. I can't even count how many people and places I had to notify, 3 hours at the social security office. My home mortgage still isn't right, the loan is, but the property taxes aren't. I still carry a copy of the legal name change paper in my purse. The worst thing is my login at work is based on my name, and they won't change it. So after all this work to get my identity back, I still have to login several times a day with his name. Is it worth it, Yes. I pay all of the bills and mortgage because he's been unemployed (except for a 6 week stint) for the past 18 months. Having to handle all of the bills on my own has been extremely hard and I've been getting further into debt because I've had to put groceries and gas on credit cards. I wanted to take him to court to have him removed but that would take several more months and more attorney fees. We have kids so I'm trying to make this work as best as it can but it's at the breaking point. The house has been for sale for over 13 months with many price drops and no offers. I have a 90 minute commute each way to work (3 hours a day wasted going to my job while he lays around on the couch and makes a mess of the house). I'm about to lose it. I've decided to move out and hope that it will be a wake up call to him, or, more likely, that we can sell the house in a short sale. It's looking bleak but there is no way I can handle living with him much longer. My mental health is at stake and I have to move on. I pay all of the household bills and mortgage because he's been unemployed more than working throughout our 10 year marriage and since the divorce. I never thought that I would be here 13 months after first listing the house and dropping the price four times without a single offer. I would gladly go into further debt to be able to sell the house, get over that last hurdle and move on. But the market is terrible and I cannot stay in the same house with my ex much longer without having a break down. I am going to move out and risk have to do a short sale because I'm just miserable and getting more into debt every day. Life is too short to hold out for money - you will make it back in the future and save yourself alot of grief and unhappiness that would arise if your ex moved back in. I hate going home every day and only do so for my kids. Good luck. In the past 12 years he has been out of work and held over 10 jobs for less than 6 months at a time. He thinks he will make great money at sales and doesn't realize he is a lousy salesman. I've been the primary breadwinner for the entirety of the time we've been together with the exception of 10 months after our first child was born. I've been paying all of the household expenses for the past 18 months because, surprise, he's been mainly unemployed. I've asked him repeatedly to move out but he has kept promising me he would and then backing out. I've gotten to the point where my mental health is at stake and every month I'm getting more into debt to pay all of the bills. I've decided today that I am going to take the step and move out this month and we'll see how this all works out. It may end up in having to do a short sale of my house but I need to move on with my life and stop this misery. Besides charging me much more than he said he would, sending me someone elses papers, sending MY papers to my soon to be ex, not informing me until ONE HOUR before the mediation my soon to be ex had enormous debt he had hidden from me, (oh yes, by the way...you cant get anything out of your house since its a community property state and you might be responsible for some of his debt)....not being informed of when I was supposed to appear in court unless I called....an utter disaster. If you sense, early on, that the lawyer is a complete moron, get another. I did and just kept on going. I paid for it. I have forgiven my ex and the lawyer. Carrying a load of hate is no good. I got fed up and is having his checks garnished, and it was the best thing I ever did. (trust me my ex was furious) but that's okay because now I don't have to call and remind him that I need my check. Now the child support agency can handle it. I have been triple charged for his work, as instead of spending 1 hour to write a motion he bills for 2 and spends just 10 min, and plus he has been extra accomodating to my husband and his attorney. It looks like after owning $14 K in attorney fees, "my husband now suddenly does not have that much money". Any ideas on how to end this nightmare in Kings county, NY? Also, any ideas on how to dispute the triple charges on the bill (which was never detailed by the way)... Since I lost $90K in the possible settlement on this case (as this is what I was promised my attorney would try to go after) I do not feel that I owe him anything other than a retainer which should be returned because he obviously aided the other side to have the time to shelter safely all the money he had when we first started this divorce. Any ideas about what to do with a some what dishonest attorney? Tue, 05 Aug 2008 03:26:22 -0400 Guest comment 5809 at https://www.firstwivesworld.com The mother Sandra L. Boss https://www.firstwivesworld.com/relevant-news/linda-lee/the-rockefeller-child-abduction#comment-5801 is no angel. She has her own share of secrets and holes in her story. How can anyone be with someone for over a decade and not figure out that they are a con-artist. In this case it was very easy. The guy has not DL, no Passport?? yet he has a European accent..?? that alone rings a bell in my head...how did he get into the Us without a passport unless he is an illegal alien. Any analytical brain would have figured this out no matter how much "in Love" one is. This is not rocket science. What do we know of the mother's background other than she went to Harvard. Did she really go there? what about her family? Who are they and what do they do? Why has nobody stepped up to confirm who she is. Surely McKinsey and company do background checks before hiring someone or did they also fall for the "blueblood" line and hired her and gave her undeserved promotions. If she was such a great mother and such a high level McKinsey. partner.....she could not have been so good at both...it is that simple. Being a partner in a consulting firm such as McKinsey is a VERY intensive job, basically you are married to your job, the company owns you, when they say jump, you jump! She could not have done any mothering without the help of nannies, housekeepers, etc. in which case the child probably only rarely saw her mother since she was always working except probably at bed time. What kind of upbringing is that for a child? The mother definitely needs to be investigated. Also she basically blackmailed the father into giving up custody. He should have come clean about who he is if he really loved his daughter. The daughter will grow up wondering who her father really is. As far as the Rockefellers being "blueblood" if anyone checks their history the main Rockefeller guy was also a con- artist, that's how he made a living before the sons got into oil. So maybe this guy probalby is related or is illegitimate!! There is no such thing as blue blood, most of them have swindled somebody to get to where they are. Can't be a business man without being a liar and a back stabber...just look at Bill Gates who stabbed the Apple guy in the back to make his fortune...and so it goes.
