Country singer Shania Twain and producer husband Robert Lange have parted ways, says People magazine, ending their 14-year marriage.

The couple is mum on the cause of the split — which, I have to say, is understandable. Rarely do I have sympathy for celebs — receiving good and bad attention kind of comes with the territory of fame — but there are two areas (in my opinion) that should remain private: pregnancies and break-ups.

Ok, off that tangent. The couple married six months after meeting and have a six-year-old son. Haven't heard much from Twain in the past few years? The family has been residing in Switzerland since 2000, although you'll probably hear more from the musician shortly, as she has a new fragrance and album due sometime in 2008.
