Francine and Faith, This lady makes me FURIOUS!!!! It is women like her that make women think that men can walk all over them. Do you think that she would be saying the same thing if Silda was the one with the expensive bill, having constant sex with a male prostitute? OF COURSE NOT!! I remember when my ex revealed his affair to me, he was surprised that I would even try to work on the marriage. He stated that if I had done the same thing, he would instantly be gone. I only tried to work on the marriage so that when I left, I knew that I did everything I could to uphold my end of the deal. The best thing about doing so was that I was 100% sure that he was an immature prick who truly did not want a mature marriage and I was the one who has the true confidence, vision, and strength to move on and create the relationship that I know is both vital and possible. Women like her need to read the chapter on infidelity in the book "The One" , along with the new book, "Why Good People Do Bad Things." Both describe how cheating is really not just people getting their "sexual needs met," but rather they are self-sabotaging acts of feeding their ego in such a way. Such acts are a mask that hide us from the true spiritual reasons and areas for development that are much harder to deal with and integrate than it is cheat. He is just another man who chose the dark side of this self rather than dealing within.

What is our society turning into? This is a major reason of why marriages fail; failure to commit and keeping the bonds of marriage sacred. If you can have a little sex on the side what does that do for love. I was brought up to link sex and love together. This is probably the reason the young generation is so F#@!?ed up. Thank you Faith for exposing this shameful attitude. Shame on you, Cindy Adams. You must be kidding!!!! Young girls of today: Never accept this dishonor or disrespect. I hope that Silda makes the right decision for her daughters sakes.Set the proper example and divorce the bastard!

Bad Advice For Silda

It seems like everybody has got a piece of advice for Silda Spitzer, but I found the advice given by New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams to be shocking.

In an article titled "Stay With Shpritzer, Smart Lady," Cindy Adams said (among other things):

"I want to tell her — so what. She may not longer be New York's first lady, but a husband hooking up with a hooker is not reason enough to no longer be a married lady."

and

"Sex, a primal need, outpoints fear, hunger and love as mankind's No. 1 driving force. Unless you're a pig or a monk, many an able-bodied — and I use that term deliberately — 48-year-old husband of 21 years has grazed. I'm not advocating it. I'm merely saying, so what? It's like takeout food. Less work for mother."

and then added

"Paying a pro isn't disrespect to his wife."

Whoa. I completely disagree. I think that "a husband hooking up with a hooker" is not only enough of a reason, but a fabulous reason to no longer be a married lady. In my book, and I think that a lot of women will agree with me here, it's grounds for instant divorce, no discussions.

And what's with the "so what" attitude? This is a big deal. Infidelity is heartbreaking. I can't believe she is making it seem so trivial. Then comparing hiring a hooker to takeout food?! You know, a lot of married women enjoy having sex. I did. In fact, I don't think I know any who don't. Besides, has anyone here ever spent $80,000 on takeout food?
