He thought long and hard to come up with just the right one. After long deliberation he come up with a name that encompassed two of his heroes that he idolized. He said it was one of the best things he could have done and now he loves his new name.

A name says a lot about you, so why not have one that you like and enjoy. I've thought many times about changing my own name but have never found anything I liked better.
Thu, 02 Aug 2007 10:41:34 -0400 Yvonne1973 comment 1439 at https://www.firstwivesworld.com I with you both https://www.firstwivesworld.com/community/house-bloggers/michelle-rosenthal/one-rosenthal-a-another#comment-1435
Changing your name can be liberating. Its like unlocking all the stuff that you decided to get away from to begin with. Cut the chord, as BORING and tedious the process may seem, it's worth the effort. xo jc
Thu, 02 Aug 2007 09:21:57 -0400 Guest comment 1435 at https://www.firstwivesworld.com From One Rosenthal To A Another... https://www.firstwivesworld.com/community/house-bloggers/michelle-rosenthal/one-rosenthal-a-another
I received a note from a First Wives World reader this week, coincidentally also named Michelle Rosenthal, who related to my post about returning to my maiden name. She wanted to let me know that I'm not the only one who revisited the "name game" as I start over after separating from Steve.

Here's part of what Michelle wrote: "I was divorced two and a half years ago and proudly went back to my maiden name of ‘Michelle Rosenthal.' Well I think you will agree with me, life is better as a ROSENTHAL :)
What a coincidence!

Dear Michelle,
Thank you so much for responding to me! I'm so happy to be starting my life again using my maiden name, a name that I always felt secure with, always felt myself with and never wanted to give up in the first place.

It seems as though you can relate and understand how empowering it is to take something back that you felt you had to give up. Yes, divorce is hard but it seems to give me strength knowing what the Rosenthal name means to me. It's almost in a way like my security blanket; I will definitely never part with it again. During a time where I don't know much else, that is one thing I know for sure!

Warm Regards,

Michelle
https://www.firstwivesworld.com/community/house-bloggers/michelle-rosenthal/one-rosenthal-a-another#comments divorce moving beyond divorce name change Mind and Spirit All Things Legal Moving Beyond Divorce Thu, 02 Aug 2007 07:20:29 -0400 Michelle Rosenthal 458 at https://www.firstwivesworld.com
