That's right ladies, as of December 17, Dermot Mulroney will finally be single. What better gift for the Christmas season?

Mulroney and his soon-to-be former spouse Catherine Keener finalized their divorce Wednesday after being separated for two years. They have been married since 1990.

By Hollywood standards, 17 years is a marathon marriage.

Irreconcilable differences were cited as the reason for the split, with "...no possibility of saving the marriage through counseling or any other means."

Aw, and they actually tried to work on their problems. Are we sure these people realize they're in Hollywood?

The couple has one son, and neither party will be paying child or spousal support. In Mulroney's original divorce petition he requested joint physical and legal custody of their son.

It's nice to see a high profile couple work things out this amicably, but it also means this will probably be the last time I'll be writing about them, with no messy financials to settle or child custody to battle. Drat.
